Why I Am Interested In the Medical Transcription Field
I am currently a stay-at-home mom of three young children. I love being with my children; however, I feel the need to achieve a certain sense of accomplishment one can only achieve through working and making their own money. I have a bachelor’s degree in Arts with a specialization in translation. I am perfectly bilingual in French and English and have always worked in the medical field. This brings me to why a job in Medical Transcriptions would fit me perfectly. With my translation and medical background, transcription can be something that I can do from home and I am looking at a long term endeavor.
The ultimate goal would be to someday open my own transcription company. My children are all still young so I have several years to go before I will be able to go out into the workplace and find a job outside the home. I need to make the most financially out of my time spent at home. My husband is the sole breadwinner and, as I am sure you are already aware, life is very expensive. Every little bit helps. I personally need to feel like I am contributing financially to my children’s’ lives. I need to feel a certain sense of independence so that, in case, something should ever between my husband and me, I can provide for myself and my family. I do not need to rely on anyone; I am securing my own future!
I am interested in the medical transcription field because I have always loved the medical field. In fact, my first goal in life was to be a pediatrician but organic chemistry just ruined it for me!! I think that that is part of the reason why I have always worked in the medical field whether it is in a hospital, a rehabilitation clinic or a medical laboratory. The fact that I am able to take medical transcriptionist training in the comfort of my own home just makes online medical transcription courses that much more appealing. Not to mention the fact that I can always get the help I need online. SN:0MA9N2ESY
In a few years, I would like to have established a steady clientele and perhaps open my own medical transcription company and continue to make money from home. I want to set a good example for my children and show them that not only am I their mother but I am a professional as well. I can take care of my home life and my work life. More importantly, I want to teach my girls to be independent and not have to rely on anyone when it comes to money. I want to feel like at the end of the day, when I lay my head on the pillow, I have had a productive and fruitful day and I am happy with my job. I want to love what I do and I know that I would love to be a medical transcriptionist.
