How Can You Use Facebook Every Day
No need to stress over the many options available when you first check out the features of Facebook. Your friends are probably already experts. I have used the “help” menu and watched videos online but most of my knowledge was acquired quickly by experimenting with all the titles, headings, and expanded directions attached.
Start with designing and posting your personal profile. Decide how much info you want to share with the public. You can even put a birth date but not a year. You get to decide which of your flattering photos you want on the main page or use an avatar.
I am a huge fan of the Cause button on the menu. I have added all my favorite Causes and even created a local Cause to share with my friends here at home and those that have moved or gone off to college. Its a simple process to post a worthy Cause to your page. Share your reasons about why you support the cause and share it with your friends. This is a terrific way to add people and raise funds.
Relatives and friends spread out across the country enjoy the photo albums. You get to name the album, decide which pictures to put in the album, and pick who gets to see the album. You will be able to create an album cover, tag people by name in each photo, and you can organize it. If you post it to your page it will show up in the “news feed” and “live feed” where it can be shared by others.
I have videos posted that show my son issuing Halloween greetings, carving his pumpkins, and showing off his costume. I have also posted videos from news sites about current issues to the top of my page. I have noticed videos that made me laugh on the live feed or news feed and simply hit the “share” button and they are instantly posted to the top of my page.
I am growing crops on three farms. Yesterday I added a new barn and some beautiful streams. My daughter has joined the mafia and has created her own roller coaster theme park. My Dad is one of my neighbors on one of my farms and this morning he chased some crows away and left me a note in my “farm” mailbox. Just another way to interact with your friends.
Chat with friends online, join a discussion, make comments, and have fun. Make sure you check your application settings twice. The comment feature is augmented with live chat and private messaging. Live chat allows you to carry on several little talks with multiple friends while you are still on the page taking other actions. Private messages are easy to send and no one else can read them except you and your buddy.
Before you know it you will send and receive hugs, smiles, and other posts that will brighten your day or one of your friends. The more you use it the easier it becomes to use all of the fun features for work or play. Mostly play, right?
