Many a message I have gotten over the last few weeks from distributors pitching me on this business and I decided to review it. Most of you reading my post may not have heard of it yet. In a nutshell their aim is to market hemp products in a network marketing business system

It’s an interesting idea for sure, not something I thought I’d ever see in Network Marketing, quite how they will get around the legal issues, I’m not sure. It will be interesting to see if the FDA gets wind of this and closes it down. Who knows, maybe they will get to like the products.

Medical Marijuana inc who started in 3/2009 have brought this network marketing company to the industry. Based in Foothill in California the Hemp Network is being masterminded by Bruce Perlowin, who is also known as the king of pot, and Don Steinberg. I didn’t know Bruce was yet out of jail after being caught for smuggling grass on the West Coast; still at least he wants to do things properly this time.

The companies goal is to promote the positive benefits that the Hemp plant offers to mankind, sell the products across the world and create an international business. The company is due to officially pre-launch around July time, they are currently in ‘soft-launch’ so it is possible to enrol if you can find a sponsor. One hundred bucks will get you signed up and you will get a sample of the products once they pre launch. As far as Network Marketing companies go, this is quite a cheap sign up fee, especially if it goes on to be successful.

Those who join now will be placed in the power leg (yes this is a binary!) so if the whole project is a success you would do well out of it. Personally I’m not sure if it will work, plus I have my heard earned credibility to consider, so for now I will procrastinate on this one and remain an onlooker.

As I said it’s a Binary compensation plan so make sure you fully understand how this works, as many newbie’s get caught out, thinking that they are going to make some easy money from spillovers, only to find that they need to balance both their legs to qualify.

I have no idea what kind of marketing materials they are coming out with or what online systems they have in the way of marketing websites, capture pages, lead generation etc….

Be warned the training they give might not be anything special. It’s only those who already ‘get’ how to do network marketing properly that will be raking in any sums of cash worth speaking of.

Their compensation plan is a linier plan so you get paid on the people next to you in the business regardless of who recruited them. I actually couldn’t find too many details on the comp plan but from what I saw it looked to be sufficient. This will be something that you will want to make certain is fair for you.

Network Marketing is a business of relationship building and long-term residual earnings so make sure that the opportunity is a first-class fit for you and something that you would feel good about sharing with your grandma.

As for the individuals behind the business, I did find them to be advisable and of good character. You want to make sure that they have a solid track record in the industry so that you aren’t left in the cold.

As always I propose doing your due diligence into the company, products, compensation, and the founders.

1. Avoid MLM business groups that offer commission-based compensation among distributors. There is a big possibility that it is an illegal pyramid.

The act of alluring people or business finders to enter an MLM business group has been an ordinary day-to-day street transaction among business-minded people. There are those people who will explain first the benefits that you can get from their group.

But the reality is that they will just reverse what they had said. Believe me, it may not always be the case but beware still. The only assurance you got here is your having a job. But your assurance of getting paid evenly or squarely is diminishing. You can be paid still, but until when?

2. Avoid MLM business groups that oblige the new distributors to buy expensive products or any materials that the group offers. This might be another sign of potential danger.

It always pays to be nice. But some nice people are sometimes not at all nice. It is not always the case.

The truth behind is that there are pyramid groups that force their newly entered distributors to purchase the expensive products or materials. Fake pyramid groups always have at the back of their minds the amount they could get. Sometimes it turns to be something from nothing.

3. Do not heed what the pyramid promoter is promising that you can have more money through continued help in recruiting more distributors.

This is another clear sign of your being a victim of illegal MLM business. The bottom line here is work with just compensation. They might just be using you for their personal interest.

4. Some distributors do not give enough time or attention to their MLM business.

This is important. Some people are joining the group half-heartedly. But take note, it will count days or months to build an elevating career in MLM.

5. Some MLM operators take the business reluctantly as if its status will not able to decline in time.

Each member of the MLM business group must work hand-in-hand to sustain the set objectives of the group. This practice is not just recommended. It is a must to follow. But doing the otherwise will lead the path towards business failure.

6. Not realizing why you are operating the MLM business.

You may realize suddenly that you do not have a definite target or objective in your business. It might be a reality that some are born as invalid plan setter.

Contact:  Let your new leader know that you’ve recognized their abilities and think that they’d be a great influence within your organization.  Be sincere in your praise and show them that you believe in their leadership skills.The majority of MLM Leaders trained to get their current skills.

Give:  Remember that you must always give before you receive.  Now don’t be a pushover and let your downline run all over you.Ensure they know your only focus is for them to succeed.  If they succeed, you succeed.

Training: Demonstrate your duplicatable systems.Still don’t have yours up and running?  Use one your upline leaders to help.Don’t overwhelm your prospective leader with too much information, but provide them with the tools they will need.  Come up with a structured training plan for the next 30, 60, and 90-days.

Be Kind: Network marketing is not a filled with idiots.They are your peers and deserve your respect.Every once in a while you’ll have a rep that just doesn’t want to listen. Have patience and come back when they will.  Let them know you’ll be there when they’re ready.  Be nice.
