Having a midwife is one way of delivering a baby. Although not as common as having a baby in a hospital it is gaining popularity.The reason being for its not being a popular method of delivering a baby is because people think it is not a safe way to deliver babies. What I mean by that is not a lot of technology is used to do the procedure. And with not a lot of technology people associate it with being not advanced or safe. In this article we are going to show how a midwife has advanced in technology as well.
Well as a San Diego midwife I know first hand that midwives are starting to use more technology.Although the main goal of midwifery is to use more natural ways in delivering a baby.It is still possible to incorporate some technology in this practice.One example that midwives use is an ultrasound.So that the midwives can also find out what the gender of the baby is.

Another advance being done with my waterbirth in San Diego service is the waterbirth kits being used.Waterbirth is a method of giving birth to a baby by putting the mother in a tub of water.The kits help the mother to deliver the baby easier.It will also make it safer for the mother and the baby during the delivery itself.
As you can realize midwifery has also advanced in its methods and it is safer.What people think of as old age practice is not really true.This means that midwifery is a more safer practice now to deliver babies. All of these advanced tools make having a baby at home as safe as having a baby in the hospital.So if you plan on undergoing a homebirth do not think that it is not safe.
